Our client has developed the next generation material solution for the high growth commercial and electric vehicles (EV) market, where they are seen as a key strategic supplier for future capability. Their unique patented technology also has application across a wide range of consumer electronics.
One of the company’s major products is moving from the development phase into commercialisation and rapid scale up, in line with considerable OEM demand. The business model will see this commercialisation mainly through external licences/joint venture agreements.
The company has attracted significant investment and Innovate UK grants. Currently employing 40 people, it has built a facility for the manufacture and test of prototypes and has an Applications Engineering team in Japan.
This key role is to lead the scaling of the company’s operations as it transitions from development phase. This interim appointment is to lay the important foundations for future success while a search for a permanent appointment is made. For the right candidate there is the option to convert to permanent.
You must be an experienced and a commercial COO with a chemical/process engineering background who has strong global manufacturing and JV experience. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of high growth achievement and the ability to lead and develop large teams. Also key to this appointment will be the requirement to lead the product development team.
